We currently support Sage accounts, Quickbooks, TAS Books and Excel or OpenOffice spreadsheets - if you would like a different format supporting so that you can continue to use your existing accounting package then look at the support page and email us. We can usually add support for new report formats in a few days.
Most VAT registered entities will need to start to keep digital records for VAT and use software to submit their VAT returns for VAT periods starting on or after 1st April 2019. Some VAT registered entities have their compliance date delayed. For more information refer to the hmrc website. HMRC allow you to continue to use your existing accounting software and then use bridging software to submit your return. MTDSimple is bridging software.
MTDSimple is a software application that allows you to have a compliant solution but still use your existing accounting software. You just need to export your VAT return to a file and then use the MTDSimple software to submit the return. Go to the more information page to see how it works.
